Shoe Measurements

Shoe Measurements Additional Info

I’ve always struggled with shoes. That probably makes me the most normal person in the world. Who can easily find shoes that fit them? Anyway, my normal struggles are that if shoes fit me in length, they pinch my toes or are too narrow and if they’re wide enough, my heel slips right out. Growing up, I bought a new pair of tennis shoes every year since my pinky toe would be busting out the sides at the one year mark. Most of my shoes are size 7 or 7.5 for the width with a strap of some sort to keep my foot in.

This Reddit thread was very interesting. I followed their recommendation to estimate my shoe size using the paper outline along with instructions from SizeCharter.com

Understanding Shoe Sizing - SizeCharter

Interestingly, my feet aren’t actually that wide by measurement. Are shoes just too small in general? Or is a “well fitting shoe” meant to be uncomfortable?

I also got my feet scanned at a shoe store a few years ago and these are those results.
